Oliver Bearman was disappointed with himself for receiving a 10-place grid penalty and disrupting his British Grand Prix qualifying despite Haas bringing a competitive Formula 1 car to Silverstone. He made it to Q3 and placed his car eighth, only to drop back after a red-flag infraction caused by Gabriel Bortoleto’s crash during Saturday’s practice. Losing control of his Haas, Bearman hit the wall at the pitlane entry, damaging his car and causing chaos for other drivers. This was his second grid penalty of 2025, with previous penalties for similar mistakes in Monaco. Bearman admitted his mistake, expressing frustration and regret, but acknowledged the team’s progress in developing a fast car for qualifying, hoping for a strong race performance. He took full responsibility for the error, recognizing that he failed to comply with safety regulations during the red-flag period. Despite his disappointment, Bearman remained optimistic about the team’s potential and was determined to learn from the incident to improve in future races.
